Following your walking safari, a jeep will take you to the far reaches of the park, where you’ll find the stunning Momela Lakes. Here, you can marvel at the vibrant pink flamingos and spot various other wildlife during your journey.
:30 AM – Pick-up from Arusha/Moshi hotel & drive to the park (45 mins - 1 hour). 8:30 AM – Arrive at Ngongongare Gate, register, and begin a game drive. 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM – Explore the Momella Lakes for flamingos, hippos, and waterbirds. Continue to the Ngurdoto Crater for breathtaking views and possible buffalo sightings.
12:30 PM – Picnic lunch at a scenic spot near the lakes or waterfall. 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM – Guided walking safari in the forest with an armed ranger. Spot giraffes, colobus monkeys, and possibly elephants. 4:00 PM – Visit the Fig Tree Arch and end with a short drive through the montane forest.
